About PetrolCompare

PetrolCompare is a UK-wide fuel price platform built around live station data, with area scope filters and station tools. It includes watchlists, community chat, and local business sponsorship.

Community features are experimental: please be kind, don’t share sensitive personal data in chat, and remember messages are public.

Privacy & security

• Watchlist: after you save an alert, your browser keeps a private token so your targets aren’t exposed to anyone who only knows your email.
• Community: sign in on the Community page. Use Forgot password (sidebar) to set or reset your password via email.
• Data: public fuel prices and chat are not end-to-end encrypted — use the site like a normal local forum and price board.

How local prices are calculated

• Prices are calculated from the scoped station history data (UK-wide view by default).
• Each fuel type (Petrol, Diesel, Premium Petrol, Premium Diesel) is tracked separately.
• Trends use daily averages from the scoped station history data.

Roadmap

• Station detail pages with larger map and update history.
• Improved trend analytics (volatility, weekly shifts, top movers).
• More moderation tooling for community safety and content quality.
